2025 was a year of significant progress for go.Rheinland in the area of sales. New customer centers, an innovative app and strong partnerships are setting standards for modern and service-oriented local transport in the region.

New go.centers strengthen local transport presence

With the opening of a total of 18 new go.Rheinland customer centers - the so-called "go.Centers" - the service for passengers in the Rhineland is being significantly expanded. The new locations offer comprehensive information, advice and ticketing for local and long-distance transport.

The new centers have been opened in Cologne Central Station, Aachen, Bonn, Cologne Messe/Deutz, Düren, Eschweiler, Siegburg/Bonn, Cologne/Bonn Airport, Brühl, Erkelenz, Geilenkirchen, Kerpen-Horrem, Cologne-Mülheim, Troisdorf, Pulheim and Gummersbach, among others. All locations - seven large and eleven smaller centers - are now open and set an example for customer-oriented service in the region.

310 ticket vending machines were installed at stops throughout the association's territory in spring 2025. In addition to the go.centers, they offer passengers the opportunity to purchase tickets and obtain travel information.

Ticket machines for the Bördebahn

New ticket machines have been put into operation along the Bördebahn line (RB 28). This means that ticket sales by train staff have been gradually discontinued. In future, passengers will also be able to purchase their tickets at the new go.centers at Düren and Euskirchen stations.

Digital platform "naveo Core" as the basis for the new myGO app

With the introduction of the digital sales and networking platform naveo Core, the Aachener Verkehrsverbund (AVV) and its partners have created a modular and future-proof system that bundles ticketing, subscription management and multimodal services.
go.Rheinland uses this platform together with partners from NRW and Rhineland-Palatinate for uniform, digital access to local transport.

"The central platform, which is jointly supported by all partners, makes access to local transport easier, more convenient and more uniform for passengers."

New myGO app improves planning and ticket purchasing

In early summer 2025, go.Rheinland launched the new myGO app. It was developed in close cooperation with Nahverkehr Westfalen-Lippe (NWL) and the Rhineland-Palatinate public transport authorities Zweckverband Schienenpersonennahverkehr Rheinland-Pfalz Nord (SPNV-Nord) and Zweckverband Öffentlicher Personennahverkehr Rheinland-Pfalz Süd (ZÖPNV Süd). The myGO app is based on the AVV system naveo Core and offers passengers convenient planning of bus and train journeys, individualized customization options and direct access to offers such as the Deutschlandticket and eezy fare.

"With the introduction of the myGO app, our users can now plan and carry out their journeys even more easily and conveniently. We had the opportunity here to build on an existing shared platform at AVV and drive developments from the region forward. We look forward to further improving and simplifying mobility in our region."

Ambassador S-Bahn makes mobility visible

Since mid-February, a special eye-catcher has been running on the routes in the association area: the Ambassador S-Bahn, a fully wrapped ET 423 train, presents pictures of the go.Rheinland sports ambassadors and visibly promotes mobility and sport in the region.

"We at go.Rheinland are proud to be able to present the train in daily regional rail transport operations and are delighted to use the campaign to highlight the sporting successes of our ambassadors and their associated commitment to the Rhineland. Sport connects people and regions and that fits perfectly with go.Rheinland as a mobility partner."
