A digital alliance beyond the region
naveo Core becomes the centerpiece for modern, cross-border public transport

What began as a regional solution for the Rhineland continues to grow: naveo Core, the AVV's digital sales and networking platform, is becoming the joint sales platform for the Rhineland, Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate. By connecting the apps of go.Rheinland, Nahverkehr Westfalen-Lippe (NWL) and the two special-purpose associations for regional public transport in Rhineland-Palatinate, naveo Core is becoming the central digital infrastructure - with the myGO app as a prominent example of how digital expertise from the region can set standards across federal states.
One platform for many partners and common goals
With naveo Core, AVV and its partners have developed a multi-client-capable, modular sales platform. The complete integration of the Deutschlandticket, flexible expandability and a clear focus on user-friendliness and security form the foundation that is now also convincing in other regions.
In addition to the AVV, the following regional public transport authorities are now also relying on naveo Core:
- go.Rheinland
- Nahverkehr Westfalen-Lippe (NWL)
- ZSPNV Rhineland-Palatinate North
- ZÖPNV Rhineland-Palatinate South
They are creating a supra-regional digital public transport ecosystem that uses organizational and financial synergies - and at the same time takes into account the diversity of regional requirements.

"By connecting further apps to our naveo Core platform, we are creating a technical infrastructure for the first time that links various public authorities in NRW and Rhineland-Palatinate with each other across regions."
Background system for new mobility: the role of naveo Core
naveo Core takes over central functions of digital sales:
- Ticketing (incl. eTarif eezy and Deutschlandticket)
- subscription management
- multimodal bookings (bike, car sharing, e-scooter - currently being implemented)
- fare calculator
- Multi-client capable administration & data management

The platform is based on a modular system design that can be adapted regionally - a key to avoiding isolated solutions and creating a uniform customer experience across the board.
Thanks to regional control and customer loyalty via the platform, ticket sales remain with the local transport companies and the regional public transport authorities responsible for revenue - a key economic lever in times of the Deutschlandticket.

An example with appeal: the new myGO app
The myGO app from go.Rheinland is the first major application example outside the AVV. It uses naveo Core as the technical backbone to provide fare offers, booking options and user profiles via a central interface - including integration of the VRS multimodal data hub.

"The myGO app is an example of a new, collaborative approach to public transport. The use of naveo Core shows how regional expertise can be used across the board to drive digital solutions throughout NRW and beyond."
Looking ahead: the next expansion stages
naveo Core will be jointly developed further and additional functions will be added:
- multimodal expansion: an additional module is being planned that will also allow sharing offers to be booked.
- Interoperability in the eTariff: via easyConnect, naveo Core will also enable cross-border check-in/check-out connections to the Netherlands and, in future, to Belgium.
- Abo-Online: The self-administration of all subscription products such as the Deutschlandticket, Job-Ticket, student ticket etc. as well as other services related to a subscription product should be quick and easy in future.
